Hull City defender Harry Maguire is eyeing more first-team opportunities after making his first start for the club in the FA Cup third-round defeat to Arsenal.
The 21-year-old joined the Tigers in August from Sheffield United in a £2.5m deal, but had only made three substitute appearances for Steve Bruce's men before making his full debut at the Emirates Stadium.
"Thankfully the gaffer threw me in against Arsenal and it was obviously really good to get 90 minutes under my belt," Maguire told the club's official website.
"I was flagging a bit towards the end of the game, but I'll be fitter with more game time, and hopefully I get more chances in the first team.
"Of course the result was disappointing, but there were a lot of positives out there ahead of this weekend's trip to West Brom."
Bruce's side face off against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns later today.
