Hull City captain Michael Dawson has admitted that he is "relieved" to have made the Championship playoff final after the team denied Derby County a historic comeback.
The Tigers headed into the semi-final second leg at the KC Stadium with a 3-0 lead, but Derby shook things up by scoring two goals.
Johnny Russell found the back of the net in the seventh minute and an Andrew Robertson own goal resulted in a 2-0 win on the night, but the Rams ended up losing 3-2 on aggregate.
"We're relieved, it's all it can be," Dawson told Sky Sports News. "After being 3-0 up in the first leg and going 2-0 down in the first half, we had to stand strong and it wasn't a good enough performance but at the end of the day, we're going to Wembley and we've got a chance to get back into the Premier League so we have to enjoy it."
Hull will face fellow Yorkshire club Sheffield Wednesday in the playoff final at Wembley on May 28.
