Ipswich Town fought back from 2-0 down to make it 2-2 and earn a point this afternoon, thanks to two second-half goals from Grant Leadbitter.

The first chances of the game fell to Hull when Ipswich goalkeeper Alex McCarthy had to save from Robert Koren before Cameron Stewart fired over from 25 yards.

The away side then troubled Vito Mannone in the Hull goal when Jay Emmanuel-Thomas's cross started to curl dangerously towards the far corner of the net. The goalkeeper managed to keep out the swerving ball.

Hull were then quick to break with Stewart down the left, pulling the ball back for Corry Evans on the edge of the box, but his shot was saved at the near post by McCarthy.

The Tigers managed to take the lead in the 18th minute. Matty Fryatt played it to Brady, who cut inside before aiming for the far corner of the net. The ball took a huge deflection off an Ipswich defender to wrong-foot McCarthy and make it 1-0.

Ipswich responded well and Emmanuel-Thomas fired two shots from distance, the second forcing Mannone into a good save.

In the 36th minute, it looked as though the home side should have had a penalty when Fryatt seemed to be pulled by Ipswich captain Carlos Edwards. However, the referee decided it should only be a goal kick and the Hull went in a goal to the good at half time.

As the second half began, it was the home side who looked more likely to score, which Koren did on 54 minutes to give his side a healthy two-goal advantage.

After conceding, Ipswich began to fight back and got their chance when Aaron McClean brought down Tommy Smith to give the away side a penalty on 66 minutes. Grant Leadbitter fired the spot kick home to get Ipswich back into the game.

Sensing a chance to draw level, Ipwich kept pushing forward and in the 70th minute, Leadbitter equalised to bring his side level from 2-0 down.
