Grimsby Town have extended the loan terms of Hull City defender Conor Townsend.
The 22-year-old joined the National League side in October on an initial one-month deal.
However, having made three appearances for the Mariners since then, Townsend has now agreed to remain at Blundell Park until early January.
"It's my fifth year as a pro and I've only played for Hull once," he told BBC Sport.
"When you're coming through you dream of playing for the team but I have to build a career for myself. I'm enjoying my time here and I'll do the best I can and see what happens in January."
Townsend has had previous loan spells with Chesterfield, Carlisle United, Scunthorpe United and Dundee United.
