Steve Bruce has reportedly identified Schalke 04's Christian Fuchs as the ideal player to bolster his left-back options at Hull City.
It is believed that Bruce made an unsuccessful approach to sign Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer.
Bruce has since signed young Scot Andrew Robertson from Dundee United, but he is still said to be eager to add more experience to the defensive position.
That has brought about his interest in Fuchs, who is priced at £3m, according to The Times.
The Austrian international has 12 months left to run on his current contract with Schalke.
