Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone had admitted that he has not given up on being part of the England squad for this summer's World Cup.
The 27-year-old won the last of his four caps for the Three Lions in a friendly against Sweden back in November 2012.
Despite not being called up for nearly two years, Huddlestone believes that he still has a slim chance of going to Brazil.
"I remain hopeful but, as I've said before, there have been times where I thought I might be able to sneak in and haven't," he told the club's official website.
"There has also been a couple of times where I've thought I was miles away from the squad and I've managed to get in."
Huddlestone has scored two goals in 28 appearances for Hull so far this season.
