Adem Ljajic has given a strong indication that he could stay at Inter Milan beyond the end of his current loan spell.
The 24-year-old is on a season-long loan at the Nerazzurri from Serie A rivals Roma, with the deal including an option to make the transfer permanent.
He has steadily imposed himself on the team in recent weeks, and underlined his importance with the only goal in their 1-0 win over Genoa on Saturday evening.
"I try to train hard every day and when the games arrive I work to help the team," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"Sometimes I manage it better than others, but I always try. At the moment I am physically in good shape and hope to continue like this.
"Will I stay at Inter? The clubs will discuss it between themselves. I am happy and try to help the team. Do Roma regret me leaving? I hope so."
Ljajic is a Serbian international who has made 17 appearances for his country.
