Former Inter Milan winger Luis Figo has suggested that form will not matter when the Nerazzurri face bitter rivals AC Milan this weekend.
The two Serie A giants face off at San Siro on Sunday night in the hotly-contested Derby della Madonnina.
Although Inter sit fourth in the table, seven points ahead of Milan, the Rossoneri are unbeaten in eight Italian top-flight games.
"The derby is always an unknown quantity," Figo told Sky Sports News. "Current form counts for very little, because anything could happen.
"I have wonderful memories of the derby. The atmosphere was always fantastic and our results were always positive.
"Inter remain in my heart and I'm glad to see they are back to winning ways after a difficult moment."
The Nerazzurri won the reverse Serie A fixture 3-2 in October, but Milan triumphed in December's Coppa Italia quarter-final against their foes.
