Diego Forlan has insisted that he is happy with life at Inter Milan.
The Uruguayan striker's first season with the Nerazzuri has been blighted by injury following his £4m move from Atletico Madrid in the summer.
Despite scoring only twice in 19 games, the former Manchester United forward wants to prove his worth at the San Siro.
"People have not seen the real Forlan since I arrived at Inter," he told Sky Sport Italia. "I am eager to do better, even more so than the fans. I am very happy at this club, I like the city of Milan and the fans have been really nice to me.
"This has been a tough season, because of my injuries and what the club are currently going through.
"I have always wanted to come to Inter and now that I have that opportunity I do not want to leave when the team is not in a good situation. I want to stay here and do well."
Andrea Stramaccioni's side are currently seventh in the Serie A table.
