Mauro Icardi's girlfriend Wanda Nara has insisted that the Inter Milan captain will not walk away from the club, despite his ongoing feud with supporters.
The 23-year-old striker angered ultras group Curva Nord by criticising one of their members in his autobiography.
As a result of his comments, Icardi was fined by Inter and forced to issue an apology after cheers broke out from fans when he missed a penalty against Cagliari.
Despite the negative attention surrounding the striker, his other half has claimed that he will stay at Inter.
"He will not go away from Inter, will stay 100%," Nara told Corriere della Serra. "He is - and will stay - the captain, which has not been in doubt.
"He had opportunities to leave last summer but chose to stay because of the relationship he has with the fans and because he is attached to Inter. He does not want to have to start all over again.
"The newspapers spoke of an exaggerated fine, but it is not so. The fine is a small percentage of his gross monthly salary, as the rules say, and Mauro asked for it go to charity."
Reports have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for Icardi in the January transfer window.
