Inter Milan's trip to Sampdoria in Serie A this evening has been called off due to flash flooding in Genoa.
Sampdoria were forced to take the decision after persistent heavy rain made the playing surface at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris unplayable.
Further warnings of localised flooding also made Sampdoria's decision inevitable, with the call finally made at around 12pm today.
A statement on the club's official website said: "Because of the weather alert and deteriorating meteorological conditions expected for this evening, the Sampdoria-Inter match scheduled for 20:45 at Stadio Luigi Ferraris has been postponed."
The match has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 2 at 6.30pm.
