Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has backed coach Roberto Mancini to get the best out of him as a player.
The French international, 22, joined the Serie A side from Monaco in the summer for around £25.5m.
Kondogbia had the chance to sign for champions Juventus before the start of the season, but he insists that he is glad to have chosen Inter.
"I'm just starting to get to know Serie A, the coach and the team, but Inter was the best choice for me," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"I think this is the best place for me to grow and improve. Mancini can get the best out of players, I can tell. Mancini knows how to make me better.
"I'm honoured that he chose to sign me. He helps young players develop and improve and that was a big factor in me choosing Inter."
The Nerazzurri are back in action on September 13 when they entertain local rivals AC Milan.
