Rodrigo Palacio hopes that Inter Milan can challenge for Serie A this season.

Inter Milan forward Rodrigo Palacio has insisted that his side are aiming to win the Serie A title this season.

Palacio said that under new coach Walter Mazzarri, who joined this summer, Inter have a coach who knows what it takes to succeed in the league.

"I enjoy the ideas of the coach; we worked a lot on how he wants the team to play," LegaSeriaA.it quotes Palacio as saying.

"We still have to improve a lot but I think we are already aiming higher. We want to fight for the championship and continue like this game after game.

"Is the scudetto something we see as possible? I will not talk about that, we will work to end the season as high as possible."

Palacio joined Inter from Genoa in 2012.
