Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti has insisted that his players will now have to "play with their hearts" if they want to earn Champions League qualification this term.
Inter face Chievo on Sunday as they aim to put continued pressure on Lazio, who currently sit one point above La Beneamata in fourth place in the standings.
"If you want to be a great player and achieve great results, you can't rely on technical quality alone," Spalletti told reporters ahead of the game.
"You also need to display other qualities, such as character and heart.
"We will need to play with our hearts [from now until the end of the season] as that is what enables you to go the extra mile."
Inter take on top-four rivals Lazio on the final day of the Serie A season in May.
