Inter Milan have ended their seven-match Serie A winless streak with a 2-0 victory at Chievo.
The visitors could have taken the lead in the 14th minute when they were awarded a penalty following Francesco Acerbi's handball. However, Diego Milito's spot kick was saved by the outstretched Stefano Sorrentino.
Wesley Sneijder's effort rattled the crossbar minutes later, while Diego Forlan was unable to find the target with his drive.
At the other end, Sergio Pellissier was guilty of dwelling on the ball for too long as his shot was blocked after he had wriggled free of Lucio.
Claudio Ranieri's side continued to dominate after the break, as Sneijder and Forlan both saw chances miss the target.
They finally made the breakthrough in the 85th minute as Walter Samuel moved up from the back to head in Sneijder's corner.
Milito made amends for his earlier penalty miss when he headed in Inter's second two minutes later.
