Inter Milan claim a stunning 4-2 win over AC Milan on Sunday.

Inter Milan have ended AC Milan's title challenge with a 4-2 win at the San Siro on Sunday.

It was the away side who started the match the better and they might have led after 10 minutes when Robinho drove into the box, but Inter defender Lucio was on hand to clear the danger.

The away outfit missed another golden chance to take the lead moments later when Zlatan Ibrahimovic smashed the ball high of the crossbar after good work from Robinho.

It was Inter who took the lead, however, after 14 minutes when Diego Milito converted from close range after a header from Walter Samuel.

Ibrahimovic brought the best out of Julio Cesar late in the opening half, with the Inter keeper denying the Swede at close range.

Milan were level moments before the break, however, when Ibrahimovic converted from the penalty spot after Cesar had felled Kevin Prince Boateng in the area.

Ibrahimovic sent Milan into the lead moments into the second period with a wonderful chip over Cesar, much to the delight of his teammates.

Wesley Sneijder so nearly levelled proceedings with a fine effort moments later, but his effort was tipped over the bar.

Inter were level moments later, however, when Ignazio Abate felled Milito in the box, and the Argentine stepped up to place the penalty into the corner.

Ibrahimovic might have added this third just before the hour mark, but his effort somehow drifted past the post.

Robinho was next to come close after 67 minutes, but he struck high of the bar when he might have done better.

Sneijder came close with an effort for the home side after 73 minutes, as Inter began to dominate the latter stages of the match.

They moved ahead in sensational fashion after 80 minutes when Milito grabbed his third from the penalty spot after Alessandro Nesta had handled the ball in the area.

It got better for Inter after 87 minutes when Maicon struck a wonderful effort into the top corner to end their rivals' title challenge.
