10-man Inter Milan fell further behind the Serie A leaders with a 3-0 loss to Udinese this afternoon.
Inter dominated possession in a scrappy first half, which saw plenty of fouls from both sides.
The visitors were strong again after the break, forcing a series of saves from Zeljko Brkic. However, it was the home side that broke the deadlock, with an Antonio Di Natale strike from inside the box.
It got worse for Inter less than a minute later, when Juan Jesus fouled Luis Muriel, resulting in the Brazilian picking up his second yellow card of the match to leave the visitors a man short for the last 25 minutes.
Fredy Guarin tried to get Milan back in the match with a hopeful effort from 35 yards, but his effort was off-target.
Muriel doubled Udinese's advantage 10 minutes later with a strike almost identical to Di Natale's.
Di Natale put the result beyond doubt in the 79th minute, firing in an Andrea Lazzari cross from close range.
The win moves Udinese up to eighth in the Serie A table, while Inter miss the chance to move in to the top three and close the gap on leaders Juventus.
