The agent of Inter Milan striker Diego Forlan has revealed that his client's contract with the Italian club will be terminated over the weekend.
The 33-year-old joined Inter last summer, but he has struggled to regain the form he demonstrated with Atletico Madrid and Villarreal.
Jorge Braidek has also confirmed that the Uruguayan will head to Brazil to tie up a move to an unnamed Brazilian club.
"I'm naturally a cautious person but things are right on track. I've talked to the player - his contract will be cancelled tomorrow (Saturday), and then I'll take him to Sao Paulo, and from there to our next step," he told Lancenet.
"I'm optimistic. I can't say anything before his contract is cancelled. But it's well on track."
It is widely thought that Forlan will join Internacional.
