A statement from Italian side Inter Milan has confirmed that the club will not be signing former West Ham United striker John Carew.
Inter president Massimo Moratti revealed on Wednesday that the forward would undergo a 15-day trial with the club, but the Milan-based outfit have now withdrawn their offer.
"FC International would like to thank the Norwegian striker John Carew for the great dedication and professionalism demonstrated," read the statement.
"His current athletic condition, however, would force over a period of specific work not compatible with the needs of the club."
Carew has also played for Aston Villa and Stoke City.
