Inter Milan sign five players, including Sampdoria forward Mauro Icardi.

Inter Milan director Marco Fassone has announced the signing of Sampdoria forward Mauro Icardi, as well as four other players for next season.

The Nerazzurri have captured the Argentine forward, who was once on the books at Barcelona, ahead of a host of other admirers.

Meanwhile, Napoli defender Hugo Campangnaro and Cheivo full-back Marco Andreolli will boost coach Andrea Stramaccioni's options at the back.

Also arriving at the San Siro will be Uruguay Under-20 international Diego Laxalt and Argentinian attacking midfielder Ruben Botta.

"Our finances don't allow us to spend crazy money right now," ESPN quotes Fassone as saying. "But we have concluded five interesting signings for next season."

Inter are currently fifth in Serie A.
