Samuele Longo has revealed that 'he followed his instincts' when swapping Inter Milan for Verona this summer.
The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan in Spain with Espanyol, has joined the newly-promoted Serie A side on an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer.
"I know that other clubs knocked on the Inter door for me, but I'm happy to be going to Verona," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I have the sensation that this is the right team and club for me. And I always follow my instinct. I hope to play as much as possible for Verona and then become a protagonist with the Italian Under-21 side."
Longo has made just one first-team appearance for Inter.
