Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni has refused to rule out the departure of defender Maicon this summer.

The Brazilian right-back was left out of the Nerazzurri squad for their 3-0 away victory over Pescara in their opening game of the new Serie A season on Sunday.

"If he stays, I'll be happy, but it's an individual thing," said Stramaccioni. "He's coming to the end of his contract.

"Inter and Maicon have a wonderful relationship and it's not about what he's worth. Let's see how things develop."

Maicon's current contract with Inter runs out at the end of the 2012-13 season.
