Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini has reportedly identified Genoa's Diego Perotti as a key transfer target ahead of the new Serie A season.
The Nerazzurri were thought to be plotting a move for Wolfsburg winger Ivan Perisic, but are struggling to agree a deal with the Bundesliga giants.
As a result, Sport Mediaset claims that Mancini has turned his attention to Perotti as a preferred backup option.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is already believed to have held negotiations with Rossoblu president Enrico Preziosi, with a fee of €12m (£8.5m) agreed for the Argentine star.
Perotti reportedly turned down the chance to join Premier League Watford earlier in the summer, after the Hornets had a £7m bid accepted.
