Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini has revealed that he is "confident" of tying up a deal for Wolfsburg winger Ivan Perisic.
The Nerazzurri are reportedly scouring the market to replace Xherdan Shaqiri, who left for Stoke City earlier this week.
The German side are keen for at least £14m in a transfer fee that appears to be proving a stumbling block in negotiations.
However, when asked by reporters what the state of play was, Mancini briefly said: "Perisic? I am confident of many things."
The Croat, who netted five times in 24 Bundesliga games last term, is "very interested" in joining the Italian giants, according to his agent.
