Inter Milan manager Claudio Ranieri expects Thiago Motta to remain at the club.

Inter Milan boss Claudio Ranieri has said that he expects midfielder Thiago Motta to stay at the club.

The Brazilian has been linked with French giants Paris Saint-Germain, even hinting that he would welcome a move.

However, Ranieri has made it clear that he wants the 29-year-old to remain with the Nerazzurri as he tries to guide the side up the Serie A table.

"I've asked the club, Thiago Motta will stay", Ranieri told Sky Italia after his side lost 1-0 to Lecce on Sunday.

"As for what I know, he will remain with us."

The midfielder's contract with Inter expires next summer and the Italian giants are yet to offer him a new deal.
