Inter Milan midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has revealed that he would be open to joining Schalke 04.
Despite only joining Inter from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window, the Switzerland international is expected to leave the San Siro in the near future and Schalke have confirmed that they are interested in his services.
"They are an important club and have great ambition on the international stage too," Shaqiri told Sport1. "However, at the moment I'm still an Inter player and have a very long contract here.
"I can't say much for now, but I would like to return to the Bundesliga. That is an objective of mine."
Stoke City failed to convince Shaqiri to make the switch to the Britannia Stadium earlier this month, while Everton and Wolfsburg are also rumoured to be interested in the 23-year-old.
