Diego Forlan believes that not playing in his natural position was the reason behind his unsuccessful stint at Inter Milan.
The Uruguayan striker recently ended a 12-month spell at the San Siro by joining Brazilian side Internacional.
Despite only scoring two goals in 18 Serie A outings for the club, Forlan believes that he was not entirely to blame for his failure to find the net on a consistent basis.
"I was playing in a position where I had never played before," he told reporters. "I accepted it because I had no other choice. I'm here now, though, and I hope to play in my natural position as striker again."
Forlan signed a three-year with his new employers.
