Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager John Hughes has thrown down the gauntlet to his squad, claiming that finishing fifth in the Scottish Premiership has set the benchmark for his first full season in charge next year.
A 2-0 win over St Johnstone secured the Highlanders' top-five finish, with Ryan Christie and Greg Tansey on target for the home side.
Hughes, who took over from Terry Butcher in December, told BBC Radio Scotland: "We've got a target on our back for next year but bring it on.
"We'll come out ready to go next year. If we stand still then we'll go backwards. We need to keep driving forward."
Caley secured sixth place in the Scottish top flight last season.
