Inverness Caledonian Thistle have insisted that no club has made an approach for manager Terry Butcher after reports surfaced today suggesting that he has agreed to become Hibernian boss.
According to BBC Scotland, 54-year-old Butcher has successfully negotiated personal terms with Edinburgh club Hibs, but Caley Thistle have moved quickly to dismiss the reports.
They released a statement today that read: "Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC made it clear that, despite speculation to the contrary, no club has contacted them to ask for permission to approach manager Terry Butcher."
Butcher is also said to be in the frame for the vacant Middlesbrough job.
