Dundee United's dismal run of form in the Scottish Premiership continued at Inverness Caledonian Thistle as their hosts beat them 3-0 this afternoon.
Caley made a positive start to the match and fired an early warning shot inside the first five minutes as Aaron Doran let fly from outside the area, forcing Terrors goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak into a smart save.
The hosts had a better share of the possession, but United almost caught them out on several occasions, with John Rankin foiled by Caley stopper Ryan Esson in the 10th minute and Nadir Ciftci putting a free kick narrowly over just after the half-hour mark.
The first half ended goalless, but Caley were quick out of the starting blocks in the second, taking the lead in the 55th minute as Josh Meekings bundled Greg Tansey's corner over the line.
They controlled the action in the second period, but left it late to kill off their opponents, with Nick Ross driving another nail into the Terrors' coffin by scrambling home Doran's cross in the 80th minute.
Caley added a third through Gary Warren in the dying stages, the defender nodding home a lofted pass from Tansey to cap off a miserable afternoon for the out-of-form Terrors.
