Ipswich Town assistant manager Chris Hutchings has insisted that manager Paul Jewell will remain at Portman Road despite the club's defeat to Derby County.
Tuesday's defeat left Ipswich without a win in 10 league matches but despite reports indicating that Jewell had been dismissed from his position, Hutchings has insisted they will continue to do their job until they are told otherwise.
Hutchings said: "Paul is manager of the football club at this moment in time. He's in the office watching the DVD.
"He wears his heart on his sleeve and he's very disappointed because we've conceded another goal late on, as we have on four or five occasions now.
"When that happens it hurts. Now we've got to come out fighting for another game on Saturday."
Ipswich are currently bottom of the Championship table and sit four points away from safety.
