Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell has admitted that Jimmy Bullard faces an uncertain future at the club.
Jewell has left Bullard out of the majority of the club's pre-season matches and despite acknowledging the 33-year-old's commitment in training, the manager has admitted that the player wants first-team football.
Jewell told BBC Radio Suffolk: "At the moment, he is not in the squad. It is as simple as that.
"There are no untoward reasons. I just don't see the point of him sitting on the bench and getting 10 or 15 minutes.
"Jimmy wants to play football and he works ever so hard in training, but at the moment, it isn't happening for him."
The 33-year-old has scored six goals in 37 appearances for Ipswich.
