Former Leicester City defender Sean St Ledger has been training as a trialist with Championship side Ipswich Town.
The Republic of Ireland international has been without a club since leaving the Foxes in the summer, and will turn out for the Tractor Boys' development squad in tonight's Under-21 Premier Cup tie against Southampton.
St Ledger, 29, said in the summer that he "didn't have a clue" where he would be playing after his Leicester release but then nearly joined Huddersfield Town in the summer.
Negotiations broke down, though, and he has been searching for a club since and hinted that he would like to head across the pond and play MLS football in January.
St Ledger was close to joining Ipswich back in the January 2012 transfer window, but the move fell through.
He has 37 caps and three goals for Ireland at international level.
