Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has said that he could give Francesco Totti a call-up for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
The 36-year-old Roma forward, who has not played for the Azzurri since the World Cup finals in Germany in 2006, has been in impressive form this season, scoring 11 goals in 27 Serie A appearances.
"As I have said, I'm now looking at 20-year-olds to see what they can provide, but Totti is different," Prandelli told reporters.
"We are obliged to keep him under consideration for as long as he continues to play like a kid. If we qualify for the World Cup, then I'll take a look at what shape Totti is in."
Totti has scored nine goals in 58 matches for Italy.
