Claudio Marchisio has insisted that Juventus can be confident of challenging for success in the Champions League this season.
Ahead of the first leg of their last-16 clash with Borussia Dortmund next week, Marchisio has claimed that the Serie A champions can compete with some of the competition's favourites, and he believes that the tie with Jurgen Klopp's side will offer an insight into how well prepared they are.
"We always aim to win. Our goal is to reach the final," the Italian midfielder told Sky Italia. "The matches against Dortmund will tell us a lot about where we stand. We almost didn't make the second round. Now we have to demonstrate that we can aim for the maximum.
"We are at the same level with Dortmund, definitely, and Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain too with a little luck.
"We'll play on a par with Dortmund and see how it turns out. The important thing is to get through this tie. That's the only thing that concerns myself and the team."
Juventus have not reached the final of the Champions League since losing to AC Milan at Old Trafford in 2003.
