Juventus have beaten Lyon 2-1 to proceed to the semi-finals of the Europa League after winning the tie 3-1 on aggregate.
Carlos Tevez had the game's first attempt on goal, a curled shot which flew over, but it was Andrea Pirlo who opened the scoring after just four minutes, the veteran lashing a free kick past the opposition keeper.
The French outfit were level midway through the first half, however, courtesy of a header from Jimmy Briand that went in off the Juve post.
Lyon, sensing a turnaround, carried on threatening, with Maxime Gonalons attempting a shot from the edge of the box, but Gianluigi Buffon thwarted the danger.
The second half saw Juventus on the front foot again, as Kwadwo Asamoah had a shot from long range which was stopped by Anthony Lopes.
The Italians were soon able to get a second goal to put them 3-1 up on aggregate, courtesy of Claudio Marchisio's long-range effort into the bottom corner midway through the second half.
Juventus saw the game off to secure victory both on the night and on aggregate, and proceed to the semi-finals of the competition.
