Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has admitted that he is impressed by Paulo Dybala's performances for the club and has backed the "superstar" to remain in Turin for life.
Dybala has caught the eye of numerous clubs across the continent after successfully adapting to life at Juve following his switch from Palermo in 2015.
The Argentina international has stepped things up further in the early stages of 2017-18, scoring 10 Serie A goals in seven appearances, which has only intensified suggestions that one of Barcelona or Real Madrid could come calling in the New Year.
Del Piero hopes to see the 23-year-old stick around for the remainder of his career, however, telling Gazzetta dello Sport: "He's raised his level even further at the start of this season. He's doing exciting things. I'm not just talking about goals, I'm talking about how he can decide matches when he turns it on.
"I hope he can have what I did [in terms of adulation] in Turin, because no-one can enter the hearts of the fans like him. The number 10 [jersey] wasn't really my property. Before me was Roberto Baggio, [Omar] Sivori and [Michel] Platini – they all wore it.
"And now there's a superstar who has everything to stay at Juve for life if he wants to. I'm so happy."
Dybala is just one goal short of his league tally for the whole of last season and nine off his career-best haul from 2015-16.
