Luciano Moggi, the former Juventus director, has said that Carlos Tevez 'is not a champion'.
The 76-year-old not only attacked Tevez, but said that the Juventus attack as a whole lacks conviction.
"This is a moment in which they are not running as they should," Moggi is quoted as saying in Libero. "They do not sting, do not hurt the opponent.
"But if the attack does not score or makes mistakes, the blame should not be put on Tevez, who is a support striker. He wears himself out for his teammates in attack, looking for space for himself and others.
"And if he does not shoot on goal or makes a mistake in front of the opposition goalkeeper, it is down to the fact that he does not have those particular characteristics of a striker. He is a good player, but is certainly not one of those champions who can win games on his own."
Tevez joined Juventus from Manchester City in the summer for about £10m.
