Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly been put on a diet by new side Juventus after returning from the summer break overweight.
The Argentine striker, 28, moved from Napoli to the Serie A champions in a £75m deal last month but drew criticism from fans having seemingly piled on the pounds in the off-season.
Former Real Madrid midfielder Robert Prosinecki even went as far as to brand Higuain "a little pig" after seeing him in action in a pre-season friendly with West Ham United last weekend.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Juve hierarchy are also concerned about Higuain's "extra junk in the trunk" and have put him on a "strict weight-loss plan to lose some kilos as soon as possible".
Despite his excess baggage, Higuain is still expected to feature for Juve tonight in their pre-season friendly with Spanish side Espanyol.
