Juventus moved to within two points of AC Milan at the top of Serie A with a 3-0 win over Napoli at the Juventus Arena tonight.
The hosts had an early penalty call when Marco Borriello appeared to be tugged down in the box while stretching for Andrea Pirlo's cross, but no foul was given.
There was little action in an uneventful first half but that all changed in the second period as Juve showed their title credentials.
They took the lead on 53 minutes when Mirko Vucinic's shot deflected off teammate Leonardo Bonucci and past Morgan De Sanctis in the Napoli net.
Moments later Vucinic thought he had got on the scoresheet himself but his effort was ruled out for offside.
There were no such problems with Arturo Vidal's goal, which doubled Juve's lead on 75 minutes. The Chilean turned well on the edge of the box before bending the ball into the far corner.
Juve legend Alessandro Del Piero was introduced with eight minutes of the game remaining and had an immediate impact by providing Fabio Quagliarella with the third.
To make matters worse for the visitors, Juan Camilo Zúñiga was sent off late on for an apparent elbow on Georgio Chiellini.
