Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta has admitted that he wants goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to stay at the club for the rest of his career.
Buffon, 35, has been at the club for 12 years already but Marotta said that the Italy number one still has many years left in him.
"Buffon is a true champion," Marotta told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "He is a superlative professional.
"My hope and wish is that he can defend Italy and Juve's goal for many years to come.
"I believe and I hope that he will finish his career with Juve and this is the basis for him to remain at Juve for a long time."
Buffon won his 136th cap for Italy on Tuesday night, which equalled Fabio Cannavaro's record for the Azzurri.
