Kayserispor, who sit in 10th place, will head into Monday's Super Lig contest against Alanyaspor in a confident mood after reaching the semi-finals of the Turkish Cup in midweek.
The visitors will also be buoyed by their own midweek cup victory, and they enter Monday's encounter in impressive form after losing just once in their last 12 games.
Match preview
Kayserispor enter the encounter off the back of a promising run having lost just once in their previous six games in all competitions.
They booked their place in the last four of the Turkish Cup with a 2-1 away victory over Besiktas in midweek.
Mario Gavranovic opened the scoring, but Besiktas hit back through Valentin Rosier before Miguel Cardoso came up trumps to guide Kayserispor into the semi finals.
With a place in the Turkish Cup final four secured, Kayserispor will now turn their attention back to league action with Monday's hosts on course to better their 17th-placed finish last term.
In fact, a win on Monday would see Kayserispor match the 41-point tally that they accumulated last season, which would represent real progress.
Meanwhile, Alanyaspor are firmly in the hunt for the European places, with three points separating them from the top four.
They made a statement last weekend as they thrashed second-placed Konyaspor 5-1 with Umut Gunes, Famara Diedhiou, Joao Novais, Oguz Aydin all scoring to add to Adil Demirbag's own goal.
They took the confidence gained from that victory into their cup quarter final with Gaziantep in midweek, and it was Alanyaspor who would grab the opener through Tayfur Bingol.
However, Papy Djilobodji's stoppage-time equaliser took the game to extra time, where Aydin scored to secure Alanyaspor's passage to the final four.
Confidence will be high following the cup win, and Francesco Farioli will also be buoyed by their recent away form as they look to extend their unbeaten away run to four games on Monday.

Team News
Kayserispor are without Eray Birnican, who is still serving his suspension period.
Meanwhile, injury issues will stop Emrah Bassan and Bernard Mensah from taking part in Monday's encounter.
Gavranovic will lead the line for the hosts, and he will be aiming to score for a fourth consecutive game in all competitions.
As for the visitors, they are without Novais who will serve a one-match suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.
The only expected change to the side that started the midweek cup tie will come in midfield, where Efkan Bekiroglu will replace the suspended Novais.
Diedhiou will be looking to add to his eight-goal league tally when he starts upfront on Monday.
Kayserispor possible starting lineup:
Lung Jr; Bulut, Cetin, Demirok, Carole; Akdag, Parmak; Thiam, Bertolacci, Cardoso; Gavranovic
Alanyaspor possible starting lineup:
Marafona; Juanfran, Milunovic, Bayir, Borja; Karaca, Akbaba, Gunes, Bekiroglu, Candeias; Diedhiou
We say: Kayserispor 1-2 Alanyaspor
The reverse fixture between the two sides produced an exciting nine-goal thriller, which was won by Alanyaspor who claimed an impressive 6-3 victory.
Perhaps another feast of goals is out of the question, but we still expect Monday's encounter to be an intriguing one, and we think that the visitors will claim a narrow victory to keep their top four hopes alive.
