Los Angeles Galaxy's David Beckham has been fined and handed a one-game suspension for "confrontational and provocative behaviour".
The former England international was involved in an altercation during his side's 4-3 loss to San Jose Earthquakes, and will now miss Sunday's trip to Chicago Fire.
Major League Soccer ordered the 37-year-old to pay an undisclosed amount, claiming that his behaviour was unacceptable and detrimental to the game's public image.
Beckham recently learned that he will not be representing Great Britain at this summer's Olympics after failing to make Stuart Pearce's final squad.
