Las Palmas and Levante played out a goalless draw in an uneventful La Liga clash in Gran Canaria this evening.
Neither side were able to threaten in the early stages of the match as they both struggled for quality in the final third.
The home side carved out the first opportunity of the game when Roque Mesa weaved his way through two Levante defenders, but his strike from outside the box was deflected past the post.
Las Palmas threatened again when Sergio Araujo collected the ball on the edge of the box and turned to fire at goal, but his effort went inches wide of the target.
The hosts had two good chances to secure maximum points in the second half, the first coming in the 70th minute when Emmanuel Culio's free kick was headed inches over by Aythami Artiles.
Deep into stoppage time, an acrobatic effort from Araujo from the edge of the box dropped narrowly wide before the referee brought the evening to a close.
