Las Palmas boss Paco Jemez has ruled out a move for free agent Samir Nasri.
The Spanish FA has granted Las Palmas permission to sign a free agent outside of the transfer window following Jonathan Viera's departure to Beijing Guoan.
The Canary islanders have been credited with an interest in former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Nasri, who is available on a free following his departure from Turkish club Antalyaspor.
Jemez, however, has insisted that he is not interested in signing a replacement for Viera as he prepares to promote from within the club.
"This issue is now closed," Jemez told reporters. "In our squad we already have many potential alternatives to replace Jonathan, and my plan has always been to bring one in for his place.
"It is important we evaluate the value of the players already at the club as everybody here has their worth and another teammate will replace him."
Nasri has previous experience of La Liga, having represented Sevilla on loan during the 2016-17 season.
