Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic believes that 2013 has been a "positive" year for the club despite struggling for consistency over the first half of the Serie A season.
The Biancocelesti went six games without winning before last weekend's 2-0 victory over Livorno, leaving themselves eighth in the table ahead of tomorrow's clash with sixth-placed Hellas Verona.
However, Petkovic ranks a good league campaign and cup success as the enduring memories, even if his position has been called into question over the past few weeks.
"I'd say 2013 was a positive year for Lazio," Football Italia quotes the Swiss coach as saying. "It was a struggle too, as we had too many injuries and too many things that went against us.
"Nonetheless, looking back at how many points we amassed, winning the Coppa Italia and progressing in Europe, it remains a positive year.
"I bring positive and negative elements from 2013, but it is still too early to judge, as we have one more important challenge for the year."
Lazio beat Roma to win the Coppa Italia for a sixth time in May.
