Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic has admitted that naive defending ultimately cost them dear against Genoa at home this afternoon, but still believes that he can turn things round at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Aquile suffered a 2-0 home defeat thanks to strikes from Juraj Kucka and Alberto Gilardino, losing at the Olimpico for the first time this season.
He told Sky Sport Italia: "We were unable to score and Genoa deserve compliments. It above all hurts to drop these points, as we have already left a few too many along the way.
"Overall I remain optimistic and wait to get the full squad back as soon as possible. I haven't had the opportunity to play even three games in a row with the same players.
"We made a few naive mistakes that were down to a lack of concentration. We were lacking that extra 10% of determination to either prevent a goal or score one ourselves."
The Serbian's position in the Eternal City has come under increased scrutiny in recent weeks following a run of one win in six matches.
