Antonio Candreva's late goal has given Lazio all three points in their Serie A game against Sassuolo this evening, following a dramatic period in which four goals were scored in 10 second-half minutes.
The initial opening exchanges were scrappy, with both sides struggling to create chances early on.
Miroslav Klose eventually came close for Lazio when his goal-bound effort was blocked.
The hosts then went in front in stunning style when Stefan Radu cut in from the left and unleashed an unstoppable strike from 35 yards that flew into the back of the net.
After the break, Klose's deflected shot went just wide before Sassuolo equalised when Francesco Magnanelli pulled back for Sergio Floccari to slot home.
Less than a minute after the goal, however, Alvaro Gonzalez slid in Klose, who confidently finished to put Lazio back in front.
Sassuolo showed good character and responded well, with Antonio Floro Flores stepping up to place a 25-yard free kick into the top left-hand corner and put the teams back on level terms.
Candreva then sent the Stadio Olimpico into raptures when he flicked Radu's cross past Sassuolo keeper Gianluca Pegolo and gave Lazio the victory.
