Lazio continued their impressive run of form in Serie A by beating Hellas Verona 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.
It took the Biancocelesti just four minutes to break the deadlock, as Felipe Anderson connected with Dusan Basta's cross and guided a header into the far corner.
Vangelis Moras almost brought the visitors level soon after, but his shot was saved by Federico Marchetti.
Miroslav Klose was next to threaten and he forced a save from Francesco Benussi, before Lucas Biglia crashed an effort against the bar.
On the stroke of half time Lazio doubled their lead, as Antonio Candreva smashed a powerful free kick past Benussi.
Anderson and Keita Balde Diao had further chances to score for the hosts in the second half, but their commanding lead proved to be enough as they held on to claim their sixth consecutive league win.
