Lucas Biglia nearing Lazio switch

Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia reveals that he is close to joining Lazio.

Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia has revealed that he expects to complete a move to Lazio "as soon as possible".

The 27-year-old Argentine recently underwent a medical with the Italian club.

"Everything is done with Lazio," Biglia told La Repubblica. "I can't wait to get to Italy, I'm just waiting on the all-clear from a medical.

"I hope to be there as soon as possible. I'm ready to impress and Lazio is the perfect club for me."

Biglia, who has nine caps for his country, joined Anderlecht from Independiente in 2006.
